Earth Day Tree Planting

CAW Local 1941 along with ArvinMeritor and the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority hosted a Tree Planting Project on April 26, 2008 at the ArvinMeritor Lyon Street property. Planting began at 9:00 a.m. and continue until completed. 1500 trees were planted.
There was a great turnout which included Scouts, High School students along with Meritor employees. Hot dogs and refreshments were available there as well. Students who participated had their time credited for community service hours. Tree planting plans are already being prepared for next year. |
